It’s fun to see how many people on ther site are from Idaho! I grew up on a small farm near Buhl, ID (by twin falls). Later on, my family moved to Moscow ID, and I worked on a farm near Troy. I don’t get back as often as I should, but it’s definately a part of me. I do like western PA too…

How do you do? Do you still live in Troy?

Who’d you work for in Troy? I’ve lived in Deary (Troy’s nemesis) for the last 20+ yrs and know a few guys still farming around Troy. Now this really is a small world!

The guy I worked for was Wayne Westberg. The farm is really between Moscow and Troy, we sometimes delivered grain to the elevators in Troy, but more often the the Joel elevators. When I worked on the Westburg farm, I worked with Tom Umbarger, who had horses he used for logging at the time. I know tom doesn’t work there anymore, and am not sure when he ended up. I helped Tom on a logging jub once, but didn’t get to drive the horses… At any rate, that was many years ago and I’m not sure whether he logs with them anymore.

Hello LF. Sounds like we live in similar situations. I work on my parents farm/ranch. We have about 300 acres of wheat, 300 of Alfalfa/broom hay, and a hundred pairs of black angus cattle.
Anyhow I work for them running the fence, feeding and maintaining the herd, raking the hay, chopping weeds, and picking rocks.
The joys of life that build lots of character. Its nice to talk to people that have such similar and different lives at the same time. Nice to Greet you.

Sounds like we will be needing and Idaho playday. Other than I am about as far from you all as possible and still be in Idaho. Snowing again here. Keeps it from getting too easy. LF
