    Hi all,

As a Vermonter and a big fan of anything animal powered I am bummed that I will be missing the NEAPFD this year. My fiance and I are out west this fall while I am going to school to learn the black art of farriery. For those who have not been this event it is truly awesome. Carl, Lisa, all the presenters, and the rest of the crew work super hard to pull this thing off.

To get a draft fix out here, a few of us from school went to the MT. draft and mule association gathering the other week. A good time was had by all and they had some nice animals there. A neat pair of fjord/mamoth jack mix, some shires, and some big mules.

I would post some pix, but I can’t figure it out.

    Have fun Aaron

Great to hear from you, Aaron. I hope farrier school is going well and we look forward to having you back in Vermont by next spring.

    Mr. Colby,

Good to hear from you. The Mrs. and I should be home by x-mas!

Today in class we’re going down to Yellowstone nat park to pull the shoes and trim all the park mules.

I’ll try and get some pix up, we’ll see.

Hey Aaron, good to hear from you. I hope all is well with the farrier program. We’re in full NEAPFD mode. We’ll miss you. Thanks for the post card, looks like you and Caroline had a nice trip out. Keep us up to date, Carl

Man I am hoping by next year I can make it there or to one of the other events. I would really like to see this.
What school are you going to out there , that is another thing I want to do someday. Taylor Johnson

    Hey Taylor Johnson

I am at the Montana State university horse shoeing school.
So far this has been a great school to go to, it runs longer than a lot of programs and includes a lot of hands on experience.

And yes you should try and get out to the NEAPFD. 🙂

Bozeman’s a great place… lots of sunshine there. I have a few relatives that live there, and a few friends that went to that shoeing school..they all thought it was a good one.
Which MDHMA event did you go to? The one in Deerlodge or Missoula?
