Old A/C combine???

Is there any real resoan to buy one??? My neighbor wants to sell his its been in the barn for the last 15 years, he only used it to cut the seed crop from Alfalfa. this unit is in quite good shape ready to work and it has all the screens. for all the crops. any thoughts As I really want this unit.. I hopew to buy it tommorrow ,if I can

You could get into the grain buisness. Is it a tow behind model or is it self propelled? I know quite abit about old Ag equipment,So just give me a model number and I can tell you all sorts of things! Yes I wiuld buy it,if it was under $2000. That is my limit for things pre-’75.

Hi James,

Is the combine you’re looking at an AC “all crop” – like a model 60, 66 etc? If so, check out this website that specializes in AC All Crop combines – some parts. Seems the choices for power are: PTO driven or separate motor drive.

PS – check to make sure that it was cleaned out before it was stored – otherwise you might have mouse/rat urine causing some rust issues – not the end of the world but certainly brings down the price.

Yes. The rat urine will make things rusty and stinky in a hurry.

It is real clean, 1 pulley might need replaced. Other than that its in great shape . And it is A All crop too. I think its A 60 not sure will find out monday when I pay for it..
