    What is the standard length of a shaft for a sleigh for a draft horse??

    Have the sleigh and the horse..needing info to get the shafts made..thanks.

    Mine our 8 feet long and they work fine. I’ve got average sized drafts — in the 1800 pound range. 9 feet are recommended for “extra large” drafts.
