Wanted to put the word out about Hancock in Bethel ME. They are one of the largest white pine mills in US, and they are looking for wood. We are trucking from VT to Bethel and making about $2000 a load (8 mbf or so) after stumpage and trucking. They have a crew of truckers that travel all over the NE. The scale is excellent and we are getting straight thru pricing, with only a few pallets a load. I can give you more details if anyone has pine they are looking to ship. Let’s hope this continues!

I don’t have the time to bring it out. Do you know of anyone looking for work that might be interested in it? ~20 acres, heavy in good pine. Steep slope. Trails established.
I’d love to be logging right now, but I am about to take my forecart apart to make improvements so I can get after it during Feb break.

Logistics are (relatively) easy to set up.December 23, 2014 at 7:53 pm #84416Mark CowdreyParticipantWell, the organizer would be someone other than me…
Is it at your place? Do you have stabling? Bunking?
