I am on the board of the White River Partnership http://www.whiteriverpartnership.org , a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing together people and local communities to improve the long-term health of the White River and its watershed in central Vermont.

We are conducting a fund raiser by selling raffle tickets for a 12’x16′ hand-cut post and beam structure. All of the wood is harvested with animal power from Earthwise Farm & Forest, where our forests are managed to protect and cultivate ecological integrity.

    $10/ticket, $50/6, and $100/15

Prize includes set-up, and delivery within an hour. You will be supporting a great organization.

How do we purchase a ticket?

    Oh yeah, DUH!

You can contact me, by any means you wish. I have tickets, and if you send me a check I will make out the stub and mail it back to you.

Or you can follow the horse tracks and buy one from me in person.

Thanks. I must have been on my way to bed when I posted this.

The drawing date is September 26th.

If you want to send a check, please make it out to White River Partnership.

    Thanks, Carl

    Carl,

I was on the board of the White River Partnership … way back when. When my aunt and uncle gave me a book of raffle tickets for my birthday this year I was thrilled to see that you were providing the timber for this.

My hat is off to you and the rest of the Partnership. Keep up the great work on both fronts (WRP and DAP). Give my best to Dan McKinley and Geo if they’re still in it.

I am pretty sure my phone was in working order all weekend. So, since I did not receive a call saying I was the lucky winner….can you tell us where your wonderful timber frame is heading?

Yes Missy, and all others here who bought tickets, the winner lives in Sharon, Vermont. He was at the drawing, and was apparently known to be very interested in the building. He bought a bunch of tickets. He was very happy.

Thanks for all who supported the effort. We raised about $5000 for the White River Partnership.

    Thanks again, Carl
