My teams stands well after I tell them whoa. The also tend to stand where I untie them even after I walk away which is sometimes in the middle of their pen or at the tie up rail. I am not happy leaving them to decide on their own when it’s ok to break their stand and be free as I want them to stand until released. I would be interested in what do others do in the way of release training and commands?

This let them just continue on their own without having to tax their brains to decide how long to stand after I left the scene having the last command of whoa ringing in the ears.
