It has been over 2 1/2 years since I last updated this contact list. When you have time, please review and edit/add your information as well as others who may not be in the woods any longer or may have recently joined us. This spreadsheet is open for you to perform your own edits. However, you will need to have a Google account if you currently don’t have one. Google is beyond being a great tool and I have had no issues with security whatsoever. That is way more than I can say about Facebook…
Please have at it and don’t worry about screwing it up. I have final edit authority and a solid backup file as well…
Quit surfing for a few minutes and put a little time towards making our culture more cohesive and accessible.
Thank you for your support!

At the time the guy I was cutting timber with quit to do something else. So, no teamster, no horses. Im not a teamster so I was laid off and out of work.
Anyway, when I saw this list I was curious to see if any one from PA. that I knew was on it. There was. Saw a name I remembered from about 7 years ago when me and an old horse logger from way back cut some timber for him. I shot him an email to see if he remembered me and if he had a teamster that needed a faller. He did remember me, and he had a cutter going away for a few months and needed a fill in. I start cutting for him the day after Christmas. That ought to keep me busy while I find a teamster to work with.
It pays to network, it really does. And thanks again for the list Scott, Merry Christmas.December 24, 2012 at 2:48 am #76359Scott GParticipantThere you go, an unsolicited testimonial! Now, let’s work on keeping it current. Glad you found a situation local that will worlk well for you, Saxon.

I know I get emails and phone calls from folks looking for a horse logger a number of times each year from listings at MOFGA and Rural Heritage. So this is really valuable for us all. Next dumb question where is it on DAP and is it easy for a landowner thinking of using one of us to find? Again thanks.

It would be good, however, to have it somewhere that is prominent & easily accessible. I’ll try to bump it up in Google search for “horse mule oxen loggers for hire” once it is revised. Also pitching it out to State & Extension foresters would be a plus as well. I’ll take care of the State Foresters group since I have a fair relationship with them. Like I mentioned earlier, this is a tool for everyone so we should put it out there as such.
