    i couldn’t open the link.. it said i needed an I.d., could be trouble with the web site and if i try again later i might get through.
    i heard about this sad problem from a friend in Europe, (France) so i’m sure it’s valid.

    from what I hear, a lot of these horses are on the market now…
    since they constitute the main way of travelling for most of the agricultural populace, it might have been better, to leave the roads accessible during daylight and keep these carts off at night; I wonder how the farmers fare without their work force, little money as they have…

    A new law prohibits horses and carts from the country’s main arteries. The reason is that they are responsible for 10% of the nation’s auto accidents.

    I cannot help but think that if they banned automobiles the accident rate would go down 90% instead of a measly 10%. It might even be found that the accident rate could go down near to 100% because of the obvious lack of anything to run into the horse and carts:eek:
