Anyone heard from Scott? The big fire in CO (High Point fire) is pretty near his place I think. I looked at the road closure reports and they appear to be some/most of the access roads to his place west of Ft Collins. Hope it’s just precautionary.

He’s ok – fire missed his place – his fathers house didn’t make it –

Been wondering myself. Hell of a bad fire. The west is super dry compounding the beetle kill. We are all nervous here. Glad he is okay, too bad about his dad’s place (and for all of the losses).

Thanks for everyone’s concerns. I came out the other end but it’s been a helluva ride even for someone like me that has worked a lot of fire over the years. I was able to save the homestead… other than Dad’s place on the back forty and the woodyard. Most of my neighbor’s places weren’t as fortunate but they didn’t stay around to defend. I’ll call this pic “The morning after”. More pics to follow once I get a few things sorted out…

I’m pretty much speechless at that photo, Scott. My hat’s off to you.

Wow, Scott, it looks like a green island in a sea of black burnt wood. How did you do this? This has got to be one hell of a story…

Holy cow, glad your place made it through. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your community as you all recover. Even if you made it through it is still is a life changing event for sure.
