I have to admit that I’ve been having one hell of a time sharpening the sections on my mower knives. Trouble keeping the bevels right and especially troubles not taking the temper out with my grinder. What is everybody else doing to sharpen knives?

wheel to sharpen the sections. It is hand cranked. The stone is
beveled to contour the knife sections.
Does many one know where I may purchase at replacement stone?June 26, 2012 at 1:09 am #74280Iron RoseParticipantJ-L I have an extra sickle grinder that Baew is talking about that I would part with. Friend of mine in Nebraska(sandhills) had a sickle grinding outfit that was electric with a bevel wheel. If your interested I will try to find out more about it, he may still have it and as he just sold the ranch you might be able to work out a deal.
Barw if you find a replacement stone let me know as I could use a new one
