I’m offering a bit of an unusual opportunity to the right person or persons. There are 120 acres here utilized for a wildlife refuge and sanctuary for animals (specializing in alpacas). We are seeking an individual or committed couple who would like to live here rent free (heat, phone and dsl included) in exchange for their help on the property (approx. 4-5 hrs per day) and any special projects work performed would provide a stipend of about $8/hour or more if it is more specialized work like fine carpentry, etc. There are about 30 alpacas here, along with 4 donkeys, 4 horses, 1 sow, 1 pygmy goat, four LGDs (Great Pyrenees who guard the alpacas), 2 cats and 1 “outer perimeter patrol pooch” (American Indian Dog). We are interested in trying horse drawn systems, so if learning or employing this is what you’d be excited about, this is a great opportunity! If interested, please contact me via email or telephone right away for a phone interview so we can ask each other questions and see if we should take it to the next step. wren_owens@yahoo.com or call 607-525-6656. We are in need of help right away and would love to get things settled before winter really hits us. Thanks for your consideration.
