I was a little skeptical before we started, but wow this works good, just need to plan a little different on pile placement compared to using a “push plow”
December 5, 2010 at 4:58 pm #63815blue80Participantthat is awesome. you have a lift dump or back out of it?
December 5, 2010 at 9:39 pm #63810gwpokyParticipantIts a lift dump, I am working on getting a video up.
December 5, 2010 at 9:44 pm #63802RodParticipantThat is real nice, did you make it?
December 6, 2010 at 1:36 pm #63804Mark CowdreyParticipantTalk about Equipment Innovation! Looks great.
It you are so inclined, a series of right angle photos showing plan and side, front and rear elevations, possibly in both operating & dumping modes would be great. As well as any pertinent spec info like stock size of steel used for different parts and some dimensioning. I know this is asking a lot, no pressure, just thinking out loud.
This rig looks especially well suited to driveways that are hemmed-in so that snow cannot be pushed to the side over & over. Thinking about that, what is your overall dumping strategy, as far as laying out an area to stock pile snow?December 6, 2010 at 1:49 pm #63811gwpokyParticipantIll try to get more pics up, I did not build this plow, I wish I had, but I bought it from a shop in Neilsville,WI.
December 6, 2010 at 6:18 pm #63805greyParticipantVery nice!
December 7, 2010 at 12:15 am #63807PeteParticipantMind me asking what you paid for it the Amish around here will build one out of used steel for $600 or new steel for $900.
December 7, 2010 at 1:09 am #63803Mark CowdreyParticipantPete,

would be great, this one stops where I find it interesting 😀 how do you spill that load of snow?
how does it work with heavy, wet snow?December 12, 2010 at 4:36 pm #63809Big HorsesParticipantlSame here, Charly…. looks like he’s stepping on a release and it’s just starting to spill??? Can’t wait to see more! I’m still wanting a horsedrawn grader to move the snow with here!!!!
JohnDecember 12, 2010 at 11:17 pm #63814gwpokyParticipantHere is another video, It shows things a little better, we will try and get one where we can explain everything. We moved almost 20” today, tired one team out then it was chore time so the other team will get a crack at the rest of it tomorrow.
Do any of you get the farm show magazine? There was a gentleman in there that built a snow plow that was set up allot like a buck rake only with a snow plow mounted in front, looks pretty neat, I’m going to give him a call, may have to build one of those someday.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60gaz1qyRDE - AuthorPosts
