This is just to let everyone know that tonight at approximately midnight Eastern time the DAP forum will be down for maintenance and upgrades. We will be installing a new updated version of the forum software. Once the initial installation is completed there are likely to be several days of minor modifications being made to the software and the website. I expect the downtime for this to be no more than two hours tonight and only intermittent over the next few days.

We’re looking forward to providing a richer, faster experience on the website and making the DAP forum an even better place to continue sharing.

Thanks for your patience during our downtime and we look forward to see you when we’re back up and running!

    Regards,
    Ed

The software upgrade for the DAP Forum has been completed. Over the next several days I will be updating the site with additional features and alterations. None of these should impact the operation of the forums or require them to be shut down for implementation.

All the photos that had been uploaded to the old board will be restored soon.

Unfortunately John, even though it wasn’t broke, we were so far behind on software upgrades that our hands were tied if we wanted to do any kind of site improvement, or management. It may look a bit different now, but in the long-run we will be better off.

I have added in a new Photo management feature to the site. In the Navigation bar is a link to Gallery. From here you can add photos and photo albums. I am looking for a solution to move the photos from the previous software into this photo album manager. I will update when I am able to get the images ported over.

I log in and it keeps showing I need to log in, and keeps on, and keeps on…until out of frustration, I just hit “forum” and… it shows me I’m logged in, been logged in. Guess ya gotta step through the front door to actually get inside, huh?:p:D:D
    I’m such a doofus!!!

Ha ha, I normally agree with that, but the internet is a whole different animal.

It turns out that there are no automated methods for moving from our previous image script to the new one so I manually moved every photo. I put them in public albums under my user account. I realize this is not ideal, but it is the best I could do to save all the old pictures and make sure they were still available. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that this has been completed.
