Hey all,
I have two years experience working oxen at Green Mountain College’s farm, where I serve as the primary teamster and research tech for our low-energy farming experiments.Unfortunately, the college does not have an on-site woodlot or a trailer so I have not had the oppertunity to do any woods work with our boys.
Interested in someone out in the woods this winter, just for the learning, within an hour of Poultney, VT is ideal but not altogether necessary. I would consider paying for the right situation. I could do weekends or use some of my vacation time to do weekdays, probably around 10-15 days total for the winter.
This is all highly negotiable, just exploring options.Cheers,

Thanks for the offer.
My degree is in sustainable agriculture, and my logging experience amounts to using a chainsaw a couple times.I also have a friend in VT who has access to a team of oxen (though he has only limited driving experience) and some woods, a chainsaw and a forestry degree, so I hope to be spending some time with him as well.
Early January is overall the best for me, as you’re not TOO close by, but we can try to make some firmish plans sometime in the fall.
Thanks again for the offer and I do hope it works out
