I’ve decided to add an event. It’s the “Kiss My Ass for Charity” event. Here’s how it works: when we first all gather, we nominate whoever we want to be in the event – each nomination costs you a dollar. After that, throughout the playdays, we vote. And in the grand tradition of our intrepid leaders in DC, you buy votes. Stuffing the ballot boxes is STRONGLY encouraged! Ya can even vote for yerself! Each vote is $1. At the end of the playdays, the (ahem) “winner” kisses my big ass Jenny-Mae. The “lucky” first runner-up gets to kiss my cute little ass Little Bit. All the money will go to a local charity (haven’t decided which one, yet).
Disclaimer: No animal will be injured in this event = ALL winners will be issued breath mints as needed.Let’s see if I can figure out how to post a photo or link to it:
Jenny-Mae is the spotted ass on the right; Little Bit is the grey

I’m not sure I want to know, but I’ve gotta ask: is this a natural phenomenon, or did you specifically train him that way?

So, um, this makes you his ‘wingman’, huh? 😉
August 29, 2011 at 3:18 am #67689HeeHawHavenParticipantAny more details? I’m free from the 6th-10th! I’d like to come up Friday am and stay until Monday am. I’m working on the mini-mules.Any details on camping? Can people just stay out in the field? I say round up the trailers, set up a bonfire and have some fun! Any other musicians? I’ll bring a guitar!
August 30, 2011 at 5:16 am #67664Robert MoonShadowParticipantWhat do you need to know, so I can provide the details? That Friday will be an excellent time to show up! I’ll have firewood available. Sorry, but for me, the only music I can play is loud rock music on my truck stereo! But there’s no close neighbors, so bring your guitar! I’ve got a spool of electric wire and we can hook it into my batter-powered charger I use for me donks, for those that want a little room for their critters. I’ve also got some welded-wire cattle panels, too. Plenty of places to camp on the 7 acres, as well as right next door on the BLM land, there’s room for several trailers, and has a port-a-potty. Hoot’s Cafe/Motel has showers for $3, and propane. I’ve got my hay stored under the old mill shed, and if anybody runs short, they’re welcome to have some. We can use that for cover, too, if it rains. River is right there, and I’ve got 2 trails over the bank for watering, as well as a 100 gallon trough and a pump w/ firehose. There’s motels and rv campgrounds close by – let me know if you need contact info or help getting a reservation. Hunting season kicks off that following Monday, so if anyone wants to stay at a motel/rv site, probably ought to book it in advance. But there’s room for probably 40 trailers scattered in spots on the 7 acres. There’s about 4 or 5 small sandy beaches there, for swimming or whatever – it’s usually still pretty warm then, but who can tell, huh?
Anyone need directions? Anything specific I left out, ask away!August 30, 2011 at 7:03 pm #67614Scott GParticipantRobert,
Could you put up a link with mapquest/google map and/or directions? Thx!August 30, 2011 at 7:21 pm #67635dominiquer60ModeratorI wish I had nothing better to do than spend a couple weeks and a lot of fuel on a road trip to Idaho. I hope you all have fun for those of us in the East:)
August 31, 2011 at 2:43 am #67628near horseParticipantThanks Erika. I spent this afternoon w/ Robert visiting and having lunch in Deary. It was a good visit – we were cackling like hens at each other : )
Scott – are you thinking of coming up? Woo hoo!
August 31, 2011 at 4:47 am #67629near horseParticipantScott – see if this map helps. I think the actual site Robert’s talking about is next to BLM Hammer Creek Recreation Area. 30 miles N of Riggins and 5 miles S of Whitebird on HWY 95 (out of Boise).
August 31, 2011 at 5:36 am #67665Robert MoonShadowParticipantCrap. Still having trouble posting more than one sentence…
