Winter Logging & Woods Work Gathering at the Perry Farm, Brownington, Vermont, co-hosted by Fair Winds Farm:
Join us on Saturday, January 29 for a day of working horses, visiting and learning. We will have teams and single horses (Morgans & Belgians) in the woods pulling out some hardwood for firewood, learning about harvesting cedar for split rails and other farm purposes, skid/multipurpose trails in wet/boggy/swampy terrain. There will be a felling demonstration using the Game of Logging technique and discussion of it’s practical application in the woods. Potluck lunch in the house and plenty of time to gab. Donations welcome to cover expenses, additional funds will be donated to the Draft Animal Power Network. We’ll be getting going around 9:30, finishing up around 4. RSVP appreciated but not required: 802-754-2396(Perry’s) or 802-254-9067(Bailey’s)

Have a great time,
