ParticipantI have been teetering on ice here in northern Vermont for the past 2+ weeks. I can’t even get my team out in the woods b/c my main roads are sheer ice. I go out with a single with my gear on the stoneboat and twitch logs to mini-headers (brows?) where I can load my scoot. I have 3000 feet of logs and maybe 7 chords of firewood ready to be yarded with a scoot waiting for that ice to go. We finally got a significant thaw on Thursday along with some snow and I spent the day moving wood. Last night and today we got 18″ of snow and it is still snowing – all my wood buried:eek:. Here are some pics of my one good day. I guess I’ll start fresh and get the rest of my wood when it thaws. No one ever said it was easy…
