new shop press

I have been wanting a press to continue my experiments with adjusting the mower lead by pressing the push bar. I knew it would be useful for many other things as well. I am putting a new seven foot bar together but first I needed to straighten the bar a little. It had about 2″ of bow to it, way more than it should have. It was a delicate operation as you don’t want to over bend any one spot. The press worked great. I made the press with a new 30 ton jack and scrap steel from a junk yard.
