I have a Haflinger mare for sale or trade. The farrier says she is 4 or 5 years old. She is supposedly green broke under saddle, but I haven’t tried yet. I don’t think she’s done any driving. She is an easy keeper so far. I am looking for a “beginner” draft horse (2 million years old, seen and done everything, etc.) to work, and she is definitely not what I need right now.
I would rather do a trade/partial trade for a well broke working horse than a flat out sale, but would do either. I’m looking for a horse that I can use around the farm, pull wood, etc.
$800 or bro.
She’s at my house, in Jefferson, NH.February 10, 2012 at 4:28 pm #71319Billy FosterParticipantNot that I am looking (just incase my girlfiend is snooping) how big is she hight/weight

I would love to come and meet him, although I would probably need to sell Star before I have the cash to purchase another. I’m sure it’s obvious, but I’m a total newbie to all of this, which brings me to another point-your website says you give private instruction, and I’d be really interested in that too. If you might have some time to do that in the future maybe we could talk?February 10, 2012 at 6:16 pm #71320Billy FosterParticipantA little small for me, thanks for the info 76shovel

February 24, 2012 at 3:57 pm #71325Bob EichParticipantI did see her, but as usual, a day late and a dollar short.:)
That’s ok, because this wonderful woman who committed to buy my mare backed out. I don’t understand why someone would drive 3 hours to my house, rave about the horse for an hour, let me schedule and pay for a vet visit/Coggins/etc, and then text and cancel. Maybe I’m just not a people person though lol 😉 - AuthorPosts
