Ive got a lot of thinning to do on the land we are buying, does anyone have any creative ideas for hop hornbeam (hardhack, ironwood)?

A farm that I used to live on had a ton but wouldn’t use it for fence posts because they would rot fast, they cut all the dead ones for fast easy drying firewood, gives off some great BTUs.
March 28, 2012 at 8:21 pm #73193AnonymousInactiveI use it for firewood as well, I have had poor experience with it as fence post due to it rotting, we have a lot of black locust so we are a bit spoiled. I wasnt sure if there were any clever commercial uses?

…. and peavey handles. Carves pretty hard, but doesn’t break very easily.
