April 13, 2013 at 5:56 pm #78517LongViewFarmParticipantI hope you can make it Tom. There’s less work this year, and more social time. (Hopefully it’s not as hot.) I’ve got some funds for your mileage if you can plan enough in advance I’ll set some aside for you.
It’s been very busy on the hill this spring. I look forward to a day set aside only for friendship, horsework, and firewood.
Thanks!

Turns out it was my in-laws! what a small world. They where driving the neighborhood looking for a farm that my wifes great uncle had worked on, Ted remembered him and invited them in for coffee.

April 27, 2013 at 6:08 am #78734LongViewFarmParticipantCan we get a better head count as we get closer to this event? Two weeks from tomorrow, and there’s plenty of wood to pull and fun to be had.
I’ll put the tent up again for lunch. We can plug in the crock pots if you bring any. I have some funds for mileage, for those who need and can confirm soon.
Last year’s event was rerun on Chronicle last Tues.

May 7, 2013 at 2:39 pm #79458BaystatetomParticipantI am pretty bummed but my girls both have games in different towns and I just got a reject sticker on my truck. Looks like I’ll be missing this years wood bee. Have a great time and be safe.

May 9, 2013 at 6:31 am #79492Ed ThayerParticipantAfter looking at the weather forecast for Saturday and talking it over with Jay Fisher, we have decided to postpone the DAPNet Wood Bee and use the rain date of Saturday, May 25th.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and we look forward to seeing you on the 25th.

After talking with Jay, it appears she may be coming home on Saturday to finish her recovery so we will be canceling the wood bee for this year so as not to create any undue disturbance at their home.
Thanks to all who were going to attend.

May 20, 2013 at 8:23 pm #79626LongViewFarmParticipantI am very sad to be missing out on seeing everybody. Rest assured that I will do my best to host a social event this summer. Maybe a chance to relax before the rush of Field Days.
This makes me very glad that we were able to put together such a wonderful wood bee event last year.
Nancy is giving her caregivers a run for her money. She’s still very energetic.
See you all soon.
Thanks
