carl nyParticipantErika; What are the inside measurements, high & wide? Also, could you email some pictures,it’s a long way to come look unless I’m pretty sure. I live in Lowville,N.Y.,just on the western side of the Adirondacks Mts. Addy is clyndaker@frontier.com
thanks;
carl nyP.S. I’m not on facebook so I can’t see your pics.
carl nyParticipantTim; I had my feet crossed(again, don’t ask). LOL

carl nyParticipantSame reason that Bella kicked the ball of my left foot(don’t ask) with her front foot. I had it in the wrong place at the wrong time, doing something I shouldn’t have. Hurts like H–L!!!!!!!!

carl nyParticipantCongratulations… Don’t worry, the calmness will go away!!!! LOL

carl nyParticipantThat’s a very good routine, short hard work one day, long easier work the next.
Builds muscle and stamina.carl ny
carl nyParticipantJMHO; Do both, aerobic one day, anaerobic the next, and then a day off. just as an example. When my son was in 4-H he did barrels and poles.his exercise program was; running patterns in the ring one day, a good long trail ride the next(and I don’t mean on a groomed trail),then a day off,and start all over the next day. the horse was in excellent condition, he could race him all day at a competition and he didn’t even breath hard.
As for sled or log, depends. If you are conditioning just the body, use the sled. I you are conditioning the mind and body, use the log. You can use the sled and treat it like a log, hook, unhook, positioning and all that stuff.Or,you can use the log and actually get a little work done while your at it.
Like I said at the beginning, JMHO.

carl nyParticipantPersonally, I don’t think you really need it. It is needed when you have to hold a line, such as plowing or planting. I spread manure, rake and ted hay on some pretty steep hillsides and have never needed it. JMHO

carl nyParticipantI use an old chest freezer to store my horse feed.I never had any problems.I will say that I have a very dry feed mix.Took the horses about a week to get use to it but now they love it.It’s a blend that my son came up with especially for draft horses.Keeps very well.

carl nyParticipantI know this is kind of an old thread but I just found this site a few weeks ago. Just an observation, tall tires will roll a lot easier, also narrow tires will roll easier and go through the mud easier also. JMHO

carl nyParticipantNot looking to buy, just have a ?. Never heard of “combination straps” before, what are they????
carl ny
carl nyParticipantNot a hayseed, that’s how we learn. Just make sure that it’s not something that will get you or your horses hurt….
carl ny
carl nyParticipantYup,Vermontville,I went through there this spring on the way to New Hampshire with my son.Have you ever heard of Belly’s Mountain View Inn up that way? My nephew own’s it. Maybe some day I’ll have to go for a little bike ride and come visit…

carl nyParticipantFogish KC33, I had a single pony cart and made a hitch for the back of it.I built a seat in a garden cart to pull behind it. Worked good. Buttercup(12 hh pony) use to pull ma and I in the pony cart and the two boys in the garden cart all over the place…Ma and I aren’t little either.
carl ny
carl nyParticipantJean,in pic #4, why do you have the load hooked to the single tree instead of the center of the evener????
