Never had any problems with my 372 although I only cut around 40 to 50 cords of firewood a year.

Wengers of Myerstown PA. has two or three used ones for sale. They have a pretty good web site.

    Kevin,

I had two run aways with my team when they were around six months old, both were due to my inexperience and both were pretty scary for me and did quite a bit a damage to my fencing. Like Countymouse I’ll let more experienced Teamsters give you specific advice but don’t give up on that team yet as I’ve been in the same situation and also thought about making burgers out of the boys. The team is now one year old and much steadier and better behaved, do I trust them completely, not by a long shot but they are getting there slowly but surely. I’ve also learned alot more about the animals and the how the act and react with me, give it some more time if you can and good luck!

If you decide to buy one from Northern Tool check the reviews first. It may save you some money in the long run.

Sometimes I think my team have some type of watch to keep track of time as they are always waiting for me come feeding time and if heaven forbid, I’m late for one reason or another they let me know with some rather loud mooing! My ox candy was pumpkins, in the fall I fed them the left over ones and they went crazy for them.

Very nice! I have always liked the linebacks, sharp looking animals.

Very frugal and inventive Kevin. Well done, do you plan to build an ox cart in the future?

    Kevin,

Nice yoke, Google self bows and you should find lots of info on west coast wood to bend for bows, yew will show up a lot but there are many more that bowyers use to make self bows.
