My reason for asking about the blinders is that if the poles are set close enough together that if he gets distracted for a second on the approach to the pole in front of him then catches sight of the pole in rear he might be balking at the pole he percieves to be under him..I am assuming the poles are around 3′ apart… if that isnt the case then all I can sugest is to persivere with a ton of encouragemet..Im sure there will be a lot of other ideas and tips from these guys an gals on here.. good luck..

Hi I have a “Hoozier” seeder that was built in Richmond and I think it may be the earlier version to yours.. I think you may be referring to the dials on the left hand side of the box that seems to be a sort of tell tale of acres covered and pounds sown ??? Almost the predecessor to the sat nav found on moden equipment…But if im wrong then im keen to know also

Yep they can be a bit bumpy. I made the hitch point on mine with holes in a plate over about 10″. this way I can alter the hitch point up or down depending on whats on the back and can have the front wheel slightly light on the ground… not perfect but it helps a little. I like the 3 wheeler for getting youngsters going.

I second George on that Dave. at the sizes you mention your hitch cart will need to be well balanced and if you can get it right there shouldn be much weight on the collars.. I have a 3 wheeler also… a blatant copy of Lynn Millers..

Trouble is that draft animal folks are still pretty much a minority and usually out in public with very few other teamsters.. Sure the public like to see us out and about and think its all very “quaint”.. I usually end up in bother when I try to put the argument for draft animal power forward, I get shot down and they smile sweetly!! and that gets my dander up and off I go on one:D.. The weather on the west of Scotland right now is stunning too George..

Dl i think most folks on this forum already think that way.. i most certainly do. The dairy cow kept inside 24/7 is wrong.. as is all intensive rearing. Having been round anilmals all my life I can tell anyone that asks me, that they are all individuals and have characters of there own.. even down to a look in their eye… Unfortunatly the publics demand for cheap food drives the intensive rearing and its cruel practices. It saddens me to see chicken on the shelf for £1.50..$2.00 a bird!!! the creature spent its short life in a crap hole and ends up worth less than a bottle of mineral water..

Ed that is a great thing youre doing down there.. you should have asked her how she felt about the orangatang being made extinct because of the palm oil production that goes into the make up she had on.. or the loss of habitat of countless species in the search for resources to fuel the plastics she likes to wear on her feet!!.. We get comments like that too. thankfully in the minority.. but all joking aside… these people have a nasty habit of being listened to by the powers that be. I have only met a few vegans but have to say i found them all to be extremists and a bit hypocrtitical..
