Mitch seems like we are all done here no freezing nights now for 5 or 6 days and none in sight according to weather report; made jist over half a crop of the lightest fancy and only 8gals of medium you get what you get with sugaring time to pull buckets and get washed up will be moving on to tuning up manure spreaders and hay ing equipment, horses in great shape and fit for pasture dragging and spreading

Mitch to mix it up a little more I have a book The Harness Makers Illistrated Manual by Willam Fitz-Gerald dated 1839 printed in1875 and reprint 1977 on page140 shows labled Heavy Draft Harness

the drawing shows a round d-ring harness with side straps wide back saddle . trace chains and pole hung but with pole chains attached at a point in front of both short tug [off and near side ]of each horse not hung off collar

I am looking for a work bridle in good condition. Size: can be comfortably adjusted to 17″ over the crown to the center of the brow strap on each side. Also 17″ from ctr of brow strap to bit ring. I prefer leather for a bridle. Also, I have 2 smaller bridles.
    Thanks.

Mark I have a nice pair of used bridles that might work for you leather with some brass spotting nose band style with rounded blinders for very reasonable sale or trade

I think it is great if it goes thru too many unwanted horses out there and hungry people also puts a floor on horse prices
