I have been working on rebuilding my grandfathers old bob sled for the past few weeks. I finally got it all together and and hitched Oz to it for the first time.

It was also the first time in theses new shafts I built. I need to do some fine tuning on the holdbacks but was otherwise happy with the results.

We had a blast, the snow conditions right now are perfect and it was good to get him working again.

Hope to get on some wood cutting soon and use the sled to pull it out.

Must be he is recovering? Did you find out what the problem was and what brought him back around so fast?

The vet was here on Monday of last week and confirmed he had a form of Lymphengitis. He thinks he suffered some sort of soft tissue trauma (maybe a kick from another horse), that caused the initial swelling and that in turn blocked a lymph passageway.

He is on steroids and antibiotics again and recommended I continue to work him lightly untill he fully recovers.

You can still see some swelling in his right rear leg. But he seems to be responding well to the meds and regulare exercise.
