    hi!

among other recepies i picked up from grandma is one “fresh” one, on rather, a popular one.

she remembered in post-war Yugoslavia there was a pandemic flue one year. everyone in her family were bedridden with 40 celsius temperature, noone could leave the bed. only her sister-in-law (skilled with herbal folk medicine) was barely able to stand up and mix this. at the end they all survived.

she said, if you are bedridden, mix maize meal, winegar, and garlic into a mash and put it on bare foot soles, and on bare chest, so it will extract the desease. exchange periodically.

also, they had to drink cooked rakija (plum (or other fruit) distilled brandy), it was important that they did.

garlic is good to eat in times of desease, not just flue.

sauerkraut juice is also excellent to drink, as it has lots of vitamine C.

now, doctors on TV said that the so-called folk medicine isn’t helping, but there is no proof that it actually isn’t helping, since all those who got well on it aren’t being numbered in official statistics because they never came to the hospital.

and it’s free, and if nothing, eating a few bulbs can boost immune system.
