I have been on this forum ever since Donn Hewes suggested it at the NOFA Conference but I figured I would give a formal hello. I live in Cambridge NY on the VT border. I have worked with horses on an off throughout my life from driving ponies as a kid to sleigh rides after college and working a team of mares for a farm I managed. I teach sustainable agriculture at SUNY Adirondack, I am a mechanic by trade, an ornithologist by training, and a farmer by hard knocks. My wife and I have a small diversified farm with pigs, chickens, rabbits, ducks, and veggies. I have an underworked haflinger and we are currently looking for some land so that we can scale up.

I love this forum even though I hate the internet.

Thanks for all of the insight!!!
