    Here’s what I use – http://www.kencove.com/fence/Electric+Net+Fencing_detail_NSGG.php

Many of my strategies for fencing goats were covered in my post on grazing horses in this thread – http://flofarm.org/dap/forums/topic/grazing-schedule-for-veggie-horses/

Thanks George! I’m quite excited to hear someone else uses this fencing for goats.it makes sense to me.I just don’t get a chance to talk to other goat farmers so I have no clue what other people are doing .

Dara, we use net fencing for goats all the time. 2 milking does. They need to be trained to a HOT fence from the beginning. Don’t be tempted to use fencing that “should be ok” It will teach a goat who would stay in good fence that it can get out and you’ll regret it… Good fence with no brakes is well worth it. They do such a great job of keeping the brush trimmed back. They often like to eat: grass/legume feed, weeds, brush, and “other”, so having a variety of feed in their space is often good (if you have it). good luck. Jay

Here a few different options you can look into; http://www.zarebasystems.com/store/electric-fence-wire
As far as advice, I would say just do a good amount of research and talk to some people who work in the industry in your town. It’s always much better to ask a lot of questions in the beginning than it is trying to repair something that you did wrong afterwards.

    Hope this helps!
