East Washington mourns the loss of one of our Town Selectmen. Rich Cook was invloved in a single vehicle motorcycle accident on June 22nd. After a valient fight he sucumbed to his injuries recently and passed on.
He was a good friend, neighbor and fellow teamster. He enjoyed his family, property, and his horses. He was a conservationist at heart and served on the local conservation commission because he believed in the value of open space and agricultural use of land.
His family honered his wishes for a green celebration of his life on Saturday. He was buried in a simple pine box that was built by his son and laid to rest on his property near the garden he enjoyed so much. Over 200 people attended the celebration of his life and bid him farewell.
