We have decided to sell our 9 year old Haflinger Franz.

He is a 9 year old registered gelding who rides, drives and jumps.

He is up to date on all shots and is an easy keeper. Excellent with his feet for the ferrier and has no health issues.

He does require an experianced rider, teamster. He gets along great with other horse and is a pleasure to have around the farm.

My daughter has lost intrest in him and he needs to find a good home.

We are asking $3,000.00 with his saddle, bridle and blanket, no harness. This price is negotiable and we are more interested in finding him a good home.

    Thanks,

    Ed

    .
Has this horse ever worked in a plow, pulled logs, or a wagon, sled, etc. or worked in parades ?

Has he ever had strangers ride him by there self on there own ?

He has not been on a plow that I know of or a work sled. I have had him on the forecart shown and he does fine. I have pulled logs in the field ground driving.

He has been ridden at a local horse camp by a number of people, from beginner rider up to experienced. Very willing to please. My daughter can ride bareback with only halter and bareback reins – cantering. He has shown in english pleasure, jumping and gymkhana shows for the past 5 years. Great to trailer and never an issue around strangers or crowds.

As the post said, he is better suited with an experienced rider or teamster. Would not recommend for a beginner.

He is heading to a great new home with another Haffie and will be ridden by an experianced teenager. She came to the farm on Saturday and fell in love with him. My daughter is sad 🙁 but knows its best for him considering she will be off to college in August.

Sounds perfect, Ed! Send your daughter over to my place when she is home from college and has the riding itch…I can keep her busy!;)
