Hall Brook farm in Thorndike Maine is seek one to two apprentices for 2017. We grow ten acres of tilled crops and make 10-15 acres of hay.
Stipend and housing is available can be year round. Apprentices help with all aspects of the farm and will be taught the use of work horses. We focus on raising produce but also milk one or two cows, grow most of our own food and cut wood in the winter months. All farm work is done with our four work horses.
Our property is directly next the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardner’s Association education center and The Common Ground Fair, where additional education is readily available.
