“Dr. Colleen Brady and Melissa A. Voigt of Purdue University are conducting a study regarding this timely issue of the perception of show horse care and treatment. It is the goal that the information gathered will be used to develop a free online educational lesson on how to become more aware of issues and better care for show horses in all aspects, including during their training.

This study is by no means meant to point out what people in the horse industry may be doing incorrect, but to highlight the fact that there are issues in our industry that we need to address and take seriously before regulations are imposed on us from an outside organization.

The purpose of this survey is to help us better understand people’s perception of stock type show horse care and treatment.

Regardless of what you know about this topic, your participation is valuable and greatly appreciated. Your responses will provide information that may be used to inform the development of educational curriculum.
