I pulled the trigger and bought the tickets. I’ll be arriving in Manchester nonstop from Denver at ~11:00p.m. (hopefully) on Friday 12/9, grab a car and then head towards Athol. My return flight is ~8:00 a.m on Monday 12/12.

First question, is there a bunkhouse, shed, barn, etc. at the site where I can stretch out my sleeping bag in the wee hours of the a.m. and not bother anyone? The same scenario would be great for Sunday evening as well if possible as I will be leaving for the airport very early. I have an offer of a place to stop midway, but if possible I’d like to keep it on each end.

Jean & Bradley, you mentioned that you might also need a chopper. I’ll have full PPE and everything I need to fell trees/work in the woods except a saw and an axe to pound wedges. MOFGA LIF last fall I used an extra 372 that Carl had and that worked OK. The offer is there if you need it…

    Looking forward to it!!

Kewl Scott. This should be awesome….. I’ll have 3 saws and plenty of wedges, hammer etc.. and I do have a bit of a hard time running a saw and driving horses at the same time, so you’re welcome to use whatever you need.

Looking forward to seeing you and working together again, Carl

No worries Scott, we’ve got you covered. Bunkhouse is yours Friday night and anybody else who wants to come in Friday is welcome. I live at the bottom of the driveway up to the barnyard and bunkhouse so I will be right there. Here is my cell phone if you can’t find it too well late at night. If anybody else needs anything, feel free to call. 978 413 5457

I am planning on heading down and will bring a couple of saws and I will be happy to be a chopper if need be. I am not sure what you will have for teams and equipment, but I can bring down the scoot I built last year.

Is there anyone that is planning to attend this event that would like to take some pictures that we can use on our website and/or be willing to write an article about the event for our upcoming January DAPNet Newsletter? One need not have the skills of a NY Times best sellers list author, just the will and time to do it:) Little things like this can be a really huge help.

    Thanks in advance,

Erika, I will have my camera with me, and will take some photos that I can share…. I can also let someone else use it as well, but I can handle the camera and lines at the same time.

George, If you bring your scoot down, could I use it? Mine doesn’t fit in the trailer with the team and I’d love for them to get some more practice pulling logs.
    See you Saturday,

    Jay:

My runners are 12′ and my truck bed is 6′. I think I should be able to lash it down safely after disassembling. Providing I can it get there (should work), it’s all yours.

Bradley & Jean, Could you use an extra hand on Friday? I believe could bump up my flight a day without any extra travel cost. Would be happy to help out if needed…

Kevin, we would love for you to come up on Friday, Scott is going to be here too. So if you wanted to get here late morning on Friday that would be great.

    Bradley,

I can bring a saw, safety equipment, etc. Are the skid roads suitable for a forecart?
