Anyone have any experience substituting maple syrup for sugar when making jam?
    Thanks,

No, but I made boiled cider this year. Boiled cider down to syrup. Tastes like apple flavored molasses, and just about as thick….. Wicked good on pancakes.

Sorry, that didn’t help answer your question…..

Mark, Janet says try a small batch. She thinks it should be about the same. No specific recommendations. If it doesn’t set, it will work well as a sauce on pancakes anyway… Jay

Mark we use maple sugar in all our baking and canning
we boil the syrup down then grind the sugar in the blender
if it calls for a cup of sugar we use 1/2 cup as a starting point
