Great time of year to think about mowers! Yes the grass will grow. John Erskine sent me an interesting link yesterday to a mower hold down I had not seen before. It is spring loaded, with a nylon contact. I will be curious to see if anyone here has heard of them or tried them.

March 13, 2015 at 8:57 pm #85205JayParticipantI called these folks up and the cost is $16.50 each. They look like they could be a long lasting hold down. They say they’ve been making them for over 10 years. I’m inclined to try a set. Jay

The one thing I was wondering about them is if they can be adjusted to be as drag free as the L600 I am using now. They look like a good idea. I will be interested to see what you find out. Did they say folks were buying them for horse drawn mowers, or were they mostly for haybine costumers?
Talk to you soon, DonnMarch 14, 2015 at 9:34 pm #85216JayParticipantIt didn’t sound as though they had even thought of horse drawn mowers still existing, so I think it’s mostly haybines, etc. Jay
