Great time of year to think about mowers! Yes the grass will grow. John Erskine sent me an interesting link yesterday to a mower hold down I had not seen before. It is spring loaded, with a nylon contact. I will be curious to see if anyone here has heard of them or tried them.

I might get some just to see what they do.

I haven’t seen them before. Any idea on cost? They look like they might be worth trying. Jay

I called these folks up and the cost is $16.50 each. They look like they could be a long lasting hold down. They say they’ve been making them for over 10 years. I’m inclined to try a set. Jay

Jay, That is great, you are quicker than me. That price is not cheap. The one thing I was wondering about them is if they can be adjusted to be as drag free as the L600 I am using now. They look like a good idea. I will be interested to see what you find out. Did they say folks were buying them for horse drawn mowers, or were they mostly for haybine costumers?
    Talk to you soon, Donn

It didn’t sound as though they had even thought of horse drawn mowers still existing, so I think it’s mostly haybines, etc. Jay
