October P&E Meeting Agenda
Hello all,
We have a P&E meeting scheduled for Tuesday October 23. The meeting will be at 7:00pm.
The Conference call # is toll-free 1-888-296-6500 code# 411975Ed, will sign on as the host and will use code# 4119756. The host starts and ends the call, so if you are not on the call first, you will all have to wait for me to sign on. So if anyone gets an error message, just keep trying.
Proposed Agenda:
1.Existing Mission Statement ” To plan events, network with other organizations and develop workshops that promote draft animal power, further the craft and educate the general public about draft power.” Are we happy with this statement? Do we need to modify it?
2.NEAPFD update from Don, Andy?
3.Upcoming Events: US Forest Service Lincoln Woods Salvage Project, We have had a planning meeting with the teamsters and are coordinating the equipment, supplies and timing of the work. Ed has submitted the filming permit request to the forest service and is awaiting their review. We need 5 or 6 more volunteers to commit to the project to help set up camp, move equipment, and help cook for the crew. We are looking for a couple of wall tents to borrow for the camp.
4.Athol Logging Workshop, Ed and Jean have modified the registration form and Ed submitted a promo for the newsletter after consulting with Carl Russell. Ed also added directions to the thread on the forum. http://www.draftanimalpower.com/showthread.php?5581-2012-Athol-Logging-Workshop
5.Spring Plow Clinic in CT, Kevin Tucker is working with Sam Rich to pin down a date and schedule for the plow clinic. This has been promoted in the newsletter with an article from Erika.
6.Annual Meeting 2013 @ NEAPFD. No new information. Discussion on if we should combine with the annual meeting or not?
7.Bob Capabianco Spring Sap gathering event. Any news on this?
8.Chuck Cox Is interested in hosting an event at his farm, are we interested in elping to set this up?
9.Other Business as needed: Andy McEvoy’s thoughts on planning events VS coordinating and networking with other groups to shed some of the work load from DAPNet.
