I have built a new set of shafts out of white oak for my horse. Basically used the old set from what I had before. I removed all the old hardware and intalled it on the new set.
I have never used these or the old ones and am wondering if the single tree slides over the hook as shown in the pictures I have attached? The pics show the shafts upside down.
Would I be better off mounting a permanent tree to the crossbar on top of the shafts to hook the traces to? like an arrangement you find on the pioneer forecart.
