    Greetings,

I am new here. I wanted to know if anyone here has had good luck pulling a walking plow with a tractor. My setup is: Wife driving the Ford 2N, while I am on the handles of a 12″ pioneer RH plow (breathing in lots of exhaust). We did manage to plow up 1/4 acre in April but the field looked like the skid marks on a runway when we were finished. It took a lot of harrowing harrowing to get the field to a plantable condition. I found it very difficult to set the plow right. Either it would dig too deep and stall the tractor, or skim the surface which then made it very difficult on the next furrow. I tried both pulling the plow directly behind the tractor (center) and as far to the right on the drawbar as possible.

    Thanks

    in Plymouth, NY

horse plows don’t pull well behind a tractor, its real hard to hind that line of draft that lets the plow run right, maybe find a old three wheeled tractor plow and touch it up,
