Natural Horsemanship Trainers Neal & Rebekah Perry will be coming to Carlisle Academy at Spring Creek Farm in Lyman, ME for a 2-day clinic: March 18-19, 2016. The training will focus around using horses for farming, logging and driving. Content will be tailored to participant goals. There will be a mix of discussion, and groundwork, and both coached and independent work with the horses. Heart felt thanks go out to Neal and Bekah Perry for making the trip to southern Maine last weekend for 2 days work with a few teams, and single horses at Carlisle Academy in Lyman.

The resident farm team, a hopeful new pairing, worked in the round pen toward partnering with one another, and their Teamster. Erika Marczak journeyed from CT to iron out subtle driving techniques, movement, and form with her handsome mares. MOFGA Low Impact Foresty Alum Cathy Heffernan drove her mare with an eye on work in the woods. Reva Seybolt came with questions of her own, and info about DAPNet. Horse logger/trainer John Plowden was ring side as were members of the local Abenaki Harness Club, and American Suffolk Horse Assoc.

A fun, and educational experience we hope the DAPNet community will take advantage of in the future!

Thanks for putting this together Nick. It was a great opportunity to clarify and confirm ideas, and to try to form better habits.
