bsmit24ParticipantDoes it affect how it pulls if it is an open differential vs a locked one?
If it will provide enough transfer of torque you could probably use the tensioner off of a mower deck with a manual pto engagement. Not sure if the bearings in the rear end are set up for that kind of side loading though.
bsmit24ParticipantThank you for the recommendations and I agree about having a mentor. I found that out starting my beehives this year, after reading several books just an afternoon working hives with an experience beekeeper made a world of difference. I will keep looking but will try and educate myself in the mean time.
bsmit24ParticipantI should also add that while I have owned horses in the past I have never broke or drove so this is as much for me as the pony.
bsmit24ParticipantInstead of the two bolts and piece of flat bar bent into a U how about just drilling a hole in the dapnet hook and using a shackle? Strong, cheap and easily replaceable if need be.
bsmit24ParticipantIt seems to be working for me this morning. Thanks!
bsmit24ParticipantThat is a neat little cart, looks like it would be very useful around the home and garden.

I have seen images from india and africa that show oxen in yokes much wider than those typically seen here so that the oxen straddle the row.
bsmit24ParticipantIf possible please have someone document the built with photos. I am sure I am not the only one interested.
bsmit24ParticipantThe Engel is another high end cooler to compare the Yeti to but the Coleman Extreme is probably the best bang for the buck.
bsmit24ParticipantI know that the motorized PTO carts or at least some have hydraulics but that drives up the cost not to mention the noise if not needed.
Not sure how many pull type implements are available in the appropriate size for a team though.
