The forcart was a plan I found posted by the healing harvest group out of VA. I put it togeather from the plans and It works well. I would recomend it.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Anton,
I live in the lehigh valley and have a team of Belgians that May fit your needs. I was a brand new teamster when I got them but I wouldn’t say they are bomb proof. I have a change of circumstances and need to let them go. Email me if you’d like to talk.

When I was in the north west woods of Maine, they had a propane freezer chest that worked very well. I know the Amish use propane appliances. Just a thought.

Without knowing the way your bobsled bunk is set up, my first thought was to put a stake pocket on the front or back side of the bunk as not to make the sled wider. Good luck.

    Jim,
I made a solar waterer three years ago and I’v had good luck with it. I didn’t use the big water tank the pictures show. (I saw someone else made one on the internet) I think if I were to do it again I would. The bucket I used was a tub you get from a pasture supplement for cattle.(45 Gallons? ) It’s inside a wooden box with Plexiglass on one side. I insulated with 2″ foam. I have the water line come up under the box to a toilet float. The size of the water tank in relation to the plexiglass is equal so I figured it would work the same as a bigger tank with equal glass. Not so! As long as its in the twenty something its fine. Any lower for any extended time I need to break the ice on top. I have a small hole exposed for them to drink from so it reduces the surface area. I’m glad I made it and will do it again if need be.

I’ve been using an old steel box frame for a full size bed. I can add weight as I need. It works very well and when I’m done with it I’ll scrap it. One belgian has no problem pulling it around.
