    Planing poplar boards – Then back to spruce,hemlock and firewood in Bartlett with the crew on Monday – good and cold here and we need it to freeze up the ground exposed by 3.5″ of rain last week –

    I think it’s a great idea to open it up – Sorry for my absence – I’m wicked busy trying to get a huge job running this week, get my fire dept budget set for town approval and put my two cents in for the LIF executive committee meeting –

    Workmans comp is an issue here in Maine as well – I’m not totally sure but if your apprentice has their own liability ins. and independant contractor status – as long as the two of you are not working at similar jobs at the same time, he is a sub contractor – i.e. – one is chopping and the other running the team –
