the arch plan that jason uses is tried and proven. built it as shown it works fine.this is from a satisfied owner.
Ronnie TuckerParticipanta tire on a paved road will pull harder than you think.let the load hold them.drive miles not minutes.they need lots of time with wet collar pads.do not feel sorry for them.you are suppose to work them not the other way around.donot overload just load them and keep driving.
Ronnie TuckerParticipantand after the winch how about a bigger motor and then some big tires.less is more.try to stay with the k. i. s. s. methods.this bog sounds bad but how often do you have that to deal with.in animal logging you have to plan things out and overcome these problems without always thinking more gezzmos.
Ronnie TuckerParticipantthe rings i put on my grabs are one half in. and 4in.inside dia.we never have timber froze that bad.
Ronnie TuckerParticipantif it is going to be to tough i use a block and tackle.this makes it so easy.
Ronnie TuckerParticipanti can not type good enough to explain what i want to tell you.if you want to call me 731 336 5185 i think i can help.
Ronnie TuckerParticipantshe acts like one someone may have tried to make into a pulling mule and done who knows what to her.regular work will probably fix your problem.find some mule driving amish for her to spend the spring with.
Ronnie TuckerParticipanti have never saw a hook like that.it should be one point and very sharp.that looks like it was a wrecking bar used to replace the original hook.
Ronnie TuckerParticipantthere is a web site sam linsey.com which shows 8 wheel log wagons.it shows lots of pictures of mules and oxen.also history of the linsey log wagon.the above mentioned book was very good.

Ronnie TuckerParticipanti find this yankee stuff fascinating.the picture posted above shows the proper angle of pull.the back part of the trace does not make much of a difference.i hope this is right. all i now about this style harness is what i have learned on this forum. i want someone to expound on the whys and when of using the scoot instead of the bob sled front.this has had me wondering if there is any difference. ronnie
Ronnie TuckerParticipanttying them and letting stand is good for them be they young or older.if you keep them reined upgood they wont rub on your breast yoke so much.wet collar pads are good to teach them to stand where you put them.tying the back of a wagon to something solid works fine.when i brake mules i let them stand with the tongue tied to a post or tree. ronnie tucker
Ronnie TuckerParticipanti know about grabs and use them part of the time but i dont know what a j dog looks like.i wish i could see a picture or a drawing of one.i know how they are suppose to work. ronnie tucker
Ronnie TuckerParticipanti know they are both for a tractor but how much does a 12a and 14a each hold.have i heard of a 17 ni spreader. ronnie tucker
