Not sure why I’m posting right now but I feel pretty helpless otherwise. We suffered a tragic and catastrophic barn/shop fire last night that completely destroyed our 40×60 shop, a lot of equipment, our business and killed 6 calves. Right now I think we’re both still in shock and not sure what the next move will be. Waiting to hear what insurance might have to offer, if anything. No people were hurt nor were the horses although they lost all of their harness/collars etc – makes my heart hurt right now. Thanks for listening.

I hope you can find some peace.

I think this forum serves various purposes for all of us and today I really needed a bit of kind listeneing and you all were here. Again – thank you.

May 11, 2012 at 1:16 am #73814menageriehillParticipantI am so sorry to hear about your fire, and the loss of life. We all feel your pain, and confussion. We pray that you can get back on your feet, and with the help of insurance put your life back in some kind of order. If we knew where we could send a contribution, I feel many would like to help in that way. Having lost a house to a fire myself, I can understand what you are going though. Give thanks that your family is safe.

I hope you have one anyway, and tell us about it. I am so glad no one in your family was hurt. I can imagine how terrible hard it is to lose the things, but you still have what’s most important. Good luck with whatever path you choose now.
