Red hand tote sled is finished. Another generation is watching the tip ups from shore next to the fire. Ah potatoes fried golden brown in bacon grease.

CanoeTomahParticipantMichael thanks for taking the time to post these pictures up again.
I appreciate it. Great job on the roller. I hope to build one sometime.CanoeTomahParticipantWe are closer to finishing the bobsled. Thank you to Highway for the help.
Here we are trying out chaining the bobs together to see how much slack needed to turn.
Currently working on a set of shafts and need to fab something together to hook to the front bob.
CanoeTomahParticipantHi last year a Mr Low posted some photos of a snow roller he made.
The pictures are no longer on the site. Could they be added back?
Thought he did a bang up job on the roller. Thanks,
CanoeTomahParticipantThanks George for posting the good instructions.
The way (may not be the best) I down size my photos before I attach one to the site.
My computer uses windows.
In my picture directory I select the pic I want to share and e-mail it to myself.
Then I copy it back to a different folder I have named shared pic. The e-mail function will will send pic in different sizes to share. From your picture folder.
Select Pic
Right click mouse (drop down window will appear)
Select “Send to”
Select “Mail Recipient” (Attach file box will appear)
Select Size “Large” (you can pick any of the 3 options)
Click “Attach” (Will create an un-addressed e-mail with pic file attached)
Go to your windows mail account to the un-addressed message
click on the attached pic (should be highlighted)
Right click (drop down window will appear)
Select “copy”Then go back to a different folder
Select the folder to copy into (folder should be highlighted)
Right Click (drop down list will appear)
Select Paste
Your reduced size pic is now ready to be upload to site.Like Donn I usually create a Share Pic folder within any picture folder to keep things organized.
CanoeTomahParticipantI have been seeing the same message since the conversion.
CanoeTomahParticipantGreat looking team Eli.
Have fun working them.
Just curious how tall are they?CanoeTomahParticipantHi Gabe,
Thanks for your work here things are looking good.
Could you also consider adding back the number of views of a post.
I found this helpful as some times the heading may not sound interesting,
but if a topic had a lot of views normally it contained something good.

Have a friend traveling to VT next week.
PM sent.Thanks,
CanoeTomahParticipantThanks for the idea Melon I’ll try that.
Only need to do a few.
If anyone has any interest I can post the dimensions and size of material used.CanoeTomahParticipantAttached pictures below show the forged eyes for the back bob.
Back bob is pretty much complete.
Also pics of the drilling front cross beam.
CanoeTomahParticipantWe attached the forged eyes to the back bob during the week.
I’ll post some pictures this weekend.
Currently, boys and I are working on the front bob.
The front bob did not have a 5th wheel pin and slides the question makes me wonder if it did.
This makes the front bob turn better? Is this something I could fab up.
I was just going to bolt the front cross piece on and just let the front bob turn on the wood.
Not having ever used one or seen one used I could be making some poor assumptions.
If anyone could direct me to a link for pictures of the slides & 5th wheel set up it would be appreciated?
Could anyone advise on the size of the beams used under wagon box 4 x 4 pressure treated or 2 by 3 hardwood.
Thanks for any help you can provide. We are hoping to be operational before ice out.CanoeTomahParticipantHi Tim,
I would want a farrier’s input.
The below site has been a good resource.
If you can post pictures to the site you will get some responses.
There is a Farrier’s helping Horse owner section.CanoeTomahParticipantGrey thanks for the tip on the collar we adjusted the top up a notch on the last run and it worked better.
Spot on!!
I still need to check if the seat is level when hitched up or if we can lower the shafts some more.
Dickel, I was able to watch Neil Dimmocks on the link you provided.
It was very helpful I am going to watch his others posts.
My wife and I had a good trip around the lake a week ago.
We have the sleigh runner attachment for the forecart.
For the life of me I do not know why they are made with front part of the runner at a 45 degree angle.
It really catches if you have changing ground conditions. A curve like normal sleighs would seem to work better. It must be harder to make them with the curve.
Thanks for your help. I’ll post the next time we adjust harness from the prior posts. - AuthorPosts
