Looks nice, doesn’t look as big and heavy as the WD one. That”s what I was worried about. Is that an over-ride coupler on the PTO shaft? I like the bottom of your seat, shows that you can get on-off on either side.Better than having it face the back, going down the road some idiot might try to pass you on the right…..LOL I really like it,got to try and find something like that for a winter project.

carl nyParticipantLet me know how it goes.

carl nyParticipantDon’t know if this will help but won’t hurt.Take a quarter and run it down each side of the back bone,in that little hollow spot just off center.Pres firmly but not real hard.Note any place that you see her flinch. Then use your thumbs to massage those spots, sometimes you have to massage pretty hard.Do the quarter thing again to see if she has improved.I had a horse massage therapist show this to me and have had good success. carl nyParticipantSure hope the weather holds. I put down a 12 acre pasture,a 1 1/2 acre pasture, and a 4 acre meadow. we always take one cutting off the pastures and then graze it the rest of the year.

carl nyParticipantJust giving up and putting him away is probably the worst thing you can do.He will get wise to that and figure out that if he goofs off he won’t have to work.Always end on a positive note. JMHO

carl nyParticipantYour dealer where you get your goat feed mixed should have a pig feed mix that he grinds.I would check with them and see what they have in it.I will see if I can find an old tag from mine.

carl nyParticipantIf they work good together it doesn’t matter what they look like unless you plan on showing them.My son has a 16.3 HH strawberry roan, and a 16 HH bay as a team. They look like Mutt and Jeff and completely different color, but they work good together. That’s what matters. JMHO

carl nyParticipantI feed 10, !00# bags of feed per pig,(9 of pig feed and 1 of corn meal). I average about 220 to 250 lb. hanging weight. Only grow for personal use.

carl nyParticipantI use to ride the horse when I was skidding.saves a lot of walking or running. LOL
carl ny
PS; Maybe that’s why I’m a little fat now…..
carl nyParticipantIf you are running anything with inertia you want one unless there is one built into the cart.
carl ny
carl nyParticipantMy son has a Grimm ground drive and it works fine. Most of the ones you see the amish around here use are Grimm.PTO driven is ok if you have a ground drive forecart. If you use a power forecart you might as well use a tractor..Defeats the purpose..JMHO

carl nyParticipantI don’t have any icons in the date line, none at all.
carl ny
carl nyParticipantIt depends on the harness. My draft pony/Halflinger parade/show harness I have to use about a 102″ pole.My son’s father-in-law uses the standard 114″ pole. depend on the length of the tugs.If you want,I can measure my tugs so that you can compare.

carl nyParticipantPeyton,
My son is using 6″ bits.he has a 6 1/2″ and may go to that on his bigger horse, she is about 17 HH and goes close to 2000 lbs. The 6″ is tight on her but is not chafing her.I would try a 1/2″ longer bit and see if that helps.JMHO

carl nyParticipantSure, your outside horse or horses don’t use a yoke, unless your middle horse is in shafts.Look at the pic. in Dominiquer60’s post above. I’m guessing that by “twin neck yoke” you are talking about a yoke with jockey/baby yokes(looks kinda like an evener).
