I have fixed the What’s New page. Is that what is was like before? I don’t have access to the old page right now and I can’t remember what it looked like.
Gabe AyersKeymasterIt looks to have been an issue between UTC-5 time and UTC-4 time. I’ll look at the sidebar time and see how it is calculated.
Gabe AyersKeymasterPictures are back in place as well.
Gabe AyersKeymasterThank you for your quick feedback. I just noticed that What’s new isn’t working, I’ll look into that. That was a custom page written for this site.
I have fixed the second login prompt, that was a security option I put in place during update and forgot to remove.
February 18, 2014 at 10:45 am in reply to: [resolved] Is the What’s New page working for others? #82501Gabe AyersKeymasterRick, you may find that your computer is caching the website and not loading the most recent data. Chromebooks are notorious for this, a way to get the most recent page and bypassing the cache is to refresh the page. Next to the forward, back buttons in the upper left you will see a circular arrow, if you click that on the What’s New page you should get a non-cached page. Let me know if that fixes that issue.
What do you mean by the script outline?
Thanks,

January 29, 2014 at 9:48 pm in reply to: [resolved] Is the What’s New page working for others? #82279Gabe AyersKeymasterI am going to post this update here since there seems to be lively conversation on this thread. We have been fixing some of the bugs that have been around since the beginning and working to get all the requested features up and running.
I would like to continue to help with making this forum as usable to all parties involved as possible and often there are conflicting opinions as to what is best for the forum. The web committee should be very helpful to organize the desires of this community as a whole.
In the past month we have implemented a bunch of new performance upgrades that took effect this evening. Over the past couple of weeks you probably noticed the site slowing down and some other issues cropping up (lack of toolbars, and image posting) that is all resolved now and we are able to move forward with implementing some of the other requested features. The most requested feature is the photo albums and should be up in running shortly.
You can send me a PM with any requests that you may have and also post to the missing features section.
Gabe AyersKeymasterstill does it for me…
carl ny, can you see it if you go to this link:
http://flofarm.org/dap/forums/whats-new/Gabe AyersKeymasterIf you have a failed upload of a picture you should be able to edit a post and then try uploading the picture again. If you want some posts deleted you can send a PM to me or an other moderator to take care of for you.
Gabe AyersKeymasterI am going to wait until there is a consensus about how we should move forward on the option to delete. Typically deletions are left to moderators to handle though we can open it up to any user to delete their own posts if necessary. I would recommend against this since deleting content can cause confusion. I agree that it should be possible to edit a post that you have made and I’ve enabled editing for a period of time after the post is made. It is important that once posts are left for a period of time they are not changed so the forum remains true.
Gabe AyersKeymasterThis should be fixed. Sorry for the loss of functionality there and thank you for the heads up.
Gabe AyersKeymasterYou have to enable viewing the toolbar, this should be enabled by default on most accounts but if it isn’t enabled please go here: http://flofarm.org/dap/wp-admin/profile.php (after you have logged in) and check the box next to “Show Toolbar when viewing site”. That will show a toolbar across the top of the website that will have a number for your notifications.
Donn, I enabled your account already.
Hopefully that helps.
Gabe AyersKeymasterFinally this is a feature that we have incorporated into the site. I have been working on it for a while and wanted to test it a bit before I launched it completely. In order to send someone a message you can click on their name (next to any comment) and you’ll be brought to their “profile” page. You can add them as a friend or send a private/public message. They will get a notice in their email of the new private message if they have not disabled notifications. If you want to see if you have any private messages you can click on your name in the right column to be brought to your profile. You can also post statuses that your “friends” can see. This is a whole social aspect to this site that we have been working to incorporate for about 6 months or so.
At this point the profile pictures are not linked to the rest of the site and I will be working to remedy that.
Please give me any feedback you may have here and ask any questions.
Gabe AyersKeymasterI have attached an image to this post and as you can see it works. If you want to attach an image use the attach file dialog below the post.

You must be logged in to view attached files.Gabe AyersKeymasterJust to add a little to this. The link is to an external page (Google+) so if you are getting a 500 error it has to do with Google’s servers. It may be that you don’t have access to see his google+ pictures but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I was able to click the link without a problem.
Are you still having problems with this?
